This painting was included in the exhibition “A Sense of Place” in the public town gallery, Ormea , during August 2022 as part of my exploration of how geology affects the character and mood of a place. The Tanarello river bed is strewn with glacial deposits and huge boulders of marble that have fallen from the mountains through which it has worn its course.

In this relatively wild and unspoiled part of Europe, there are many amphibians as part of the rich and diverse fauna of the Maritime Alps.

The price is for the painting without a frame and includes shipping rolled in a tube to mainland Europe or to the UK .
